Workplace intelligence for strategic decisions

Is your workplace supporting your business strategy?

Know what’s working. See what needs to change.

POS Workplace Intelligence is a consultant-led review of how well your workplace supports your business strategy. We bring together leadership, employee, workplace and business evidence in a focused report, with clear priorities for practical change.

Why this matters now

The workplace can be a business enabler. Too often, it is measured only as space.

Attendance, utilisation and cost matter, but they do not show whether the workplace supports the work, culture and strategic outcomes the business is asking people to deliver.

Only 20%

of employees worldwide were engaged at work in 2025.

That means four in five employees were either not engaged or actively disengaged. The workplace cannot solve that alone, but it should not make the problem harder.

Gallup, State of the Global Workplace 2026
Nearly 3 in 4

did not strongly agree their workplace helps them do their best work.

Only 26% strongly agreed. Gensler identifies availability, noise and usability as persistent barriers, showing that office attendance alone does not mean the workplace supports good work.

Home leads

Employees rated the overall experience of working at home above the office.

Leesman’s research found a better average work experience at home than in the office. That does not mean home suits everyone. It raises a useful question: what does your office help people do better?

Leesman, The workplace why, 2025
74% hybrid

Hybrid working is established. Evidence of success should be too.

CIPD found that 74% of surveyed UK organisations had hybrid working in place. The question now is whether it supports strategy, performance and experience.

The solution

A structured review that connects business intent with workplace reality.

We start with the strategic goals and the decision they create. The review then tests whether the workplace is helping or hindering those goals, and where a targeted change has the greatest practical value.

01

Connect workplace and strategy

Translate strategic priorities into explicit questions about performance, experience, culture, space and delivery.

02

Test what is really happening

Bring leadership intent, employee experience, observed use and defined business measures into one structured review.

03

Target the changes that matter

Turn the findings into proportionate priorities, practical options and testable improvements rather than a generic redesign brief.

The end product

The value is the decision report, not another dashboard.

The final report gives leadership a shared, evidence-backed view of how the workplace is supporting strategic goals, where it is not, and which changes are worth prioritising.

  • A clearer basis for investment and change
  • Priorities tied to business goals
  • Practical options with trade-offs and limitations
  • A record of what was reviewed and why

The POS Workplace Intelligence method

Five controlled stages from strategic question to targeted workplace action.

Start with the decision your business needs to make. Agree the review, gather the relevant evidence and test what it shows. The final report sets out practical next steps, with clear reasoning and human review throughout.

  1. 01

    Define the decision

Set the business goal, decision owner, scope, timing, constraints, current evidence and the outcome that makes the review useful.

  2. 02

    Design the review

Choose the questions and evidence streams that can change the decision, with privacy, access and reporting use agreed before collection.

  3. 03

    Gather the evidence

Collect leadership, employee, workplace and operational evidence through controlled routes, supported by relevant external context.

  4. 04

    Test the findings

Check data readiness and calculations, compare independent evidence streams, and record gaps, alternatives, limitations and review decisions.

  5. 05

    Direct the change

Release the human-reviewed report to agree what to retain, improve, pilot or investigate, with an owner and outcome measure for each next step.

Privacy, security and confidence

Sensitive evidence deserves explicit controls.

Confidentiality is part of the review, not an afterthought. Each engagement needs agreed data arrangements before collection begins, including access, reporting and retention. Employee responses are confidential and are not automatically anonymous.

Read how information is handled

Confidential evidence

The review separates participation records from analysis and treats comments with care. Removing names alone does not make a response anonymous.

Agreed access

Each engagement sets out who can see the information, which providers process it and how long it is kept before collection starts.

Human review

A named reviewer checks whether the evidence supports each finding and whether a report could identify an employee or expose confidential information.

Clear limitations

The report explains its sources, gaps and uncertainties, so you can see what supports a recommendation and what still needs to be tested.
